Internship Program for Aspiring Editors

Our Editorial Internship Program is designed for aspiring editors who are passionate about honing their editorial skills and working their way up to a paid position within the company. As an Editorial Intern, you will play a crucial role in the editing process, performing initial passes on manuscripts and receiving constructive feedback from our senior editors. This is an unpaid internship.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform the first pass of edits on assigned manuscripts, focusing on grammar, punctuation, style consistency, story structure, character development, and overall readability, depending on the type of edit assigned.

  • Collaborate with senior editors to understand the desired editorial standards and implement feedback effectively.

  • Participate in regular training sessions and workshops to enhance your editorial skills and knowledge.

  • Communicate effectively with the editorial team to ensure clarity and consistency in editing practices.

  • Assist with other editorial tasks as needed, including proofreading and fact-checking.

  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

  • Previous editing experience or coursework in English, Journalism, or a related field is a plus.
